Stryker said Chief Financial Officer Glenn Boehnlein would retire and be succeeded by Preston Wells, the financial head of the company's orthopaedics group.

Boehnlein plans to retire after serving as financial chief since 2016, the company said Tuesday. He began his career at Stryker in 2003 heading finance and information technology for the medical-technology company's endoscopy division.

Wells, who currently serves as financial chief for Stryker's orthopaedics group, is set to step in on April 1, the Portage, Mich., company said. Wells has 17 years of senior financial-management experience and previously led investor relations and the sales finance roles in the company.

In 2023, Boehnlein made a base salary of $755,834 with a total annual compensation of $6.8 million, according to a separate filing from the company.
