Australian Vanadium's (ASX:AVL) Australian Vanadium project was granted "Green Energy Major Project" status by the Western Australian Government, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The project has also been selected for priority support under the state government's lead agency framework, the filing said.

The framework focuses government efforts on projects that align with the state's decarbonization and economic diversification goals, the filing added.
