NoviqTech (ASX: NVQ) has established a strategic partnership with sustainable investments platform Evercity to drive innovation and sustainability in global carbon markets.
The partnership will integrate NoviqTech’s Carbon Central platform with Evercity’s specialised solution to create a robust system for onboarding, operational management and tokenisation of information aligned with international standards.
Key terms include the joint exploration of potential projects, the identification of aligned market opportunities and the sharing of technical expertise and resources.
The partnership is expected to extend the combined reach of both companies into emerging markets including East Africa and foster greater adoption of blockchain-enabled climate finance solutions.
NoviqTech chief executive officer Freddy El Turk said the new partnership represented a significant step forward for the company.
“This agreement will help accelerate the adoption of digital solutions that enhance transparency, accountability and efficiency across carbon markets,” he said.
“Evercity’s expertise in project onboarding perfectly complements Carbon Central’s operational capabilities and, together, we are positioned to deliver transformative solutions to carbon markets worldwide.”
Evercity chief executive officer Alexey Shadrin said the collaboration would help drive market innovation and impact.
“By combining our strengths, we are delivering solutions that […] empower project developers and stakeholders worldwide,” he said.
“We have a strong focus on emerging markets and we are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology to unlock new opportunities and accelerate progress toward sustainable development goals.”
Earlier this month, NoviqTech incorporated Global Resource Recovery’s sustainable waste management business to its operations, a move expected to strengthen the company’s position in the ESG market.
NoviqTech also announced an expansion of its collaboration with Global Resource Recovery (GRR) in December, transitioning from a “client relationship only” status to a substantial sector strategic alliance.
The upgraded arrangement designated GRR as a channel partner for the Carbon Central platform within Australia’s oil and gas sector.
