Seacon Shipping Group (HKG:2409) unit Seacon Marine agreed to acquire seven mini bulk carriers from multiple vendors for a total of 63.7 million euros, or 9.1 million euros each, a Monday bourse filing said.
The mini bulk carriers each with 2,518 gross tonnage are expected to be delivered to the firm by the sellers, which are all units of Baltic Shipping, between April 1 and June 1.
The move comes amid plans of the shipping company to optimize its vessel fleet.
