Lloyds Banking Group to Close 136 Branches Across U.K.

Lloyds Banking Group said it will close 136 branches across the U.K. between May 2025 and March 2026.

The U.K. banking group said Wednesday that 61 Lloyds, 61 Halifax and 14 Bank of Scotland branches will be closed as customers switch to online banking.

After the cuts, the group will have 757 branches split across its Halifax, Lloyds and Bank of Scotland banks, it said.

All employees at the affected branches will be offered a role at another branch or in another part of the business, the company said.
