The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $7.18 per share.
The equipment supplier to semiconductor makers posted revenue of $9.88 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $8.19 billion, or $20.82 per share. Revenue was reported as $30.59 billion.
ASML shares have declined slightly more than 1% since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 23% in the last 12 months.
