By Joseph De Avila

Sean Duffy was sworn in as Transportation Secretary on Tuesday and is now grappling with the fallout of the deadliest aviation disaster in the U.S. in 23 years. Duffy was most recently the co-host of "The Bottom Line" on Fox Business, before Trump chose him in November to lead the Transportation Department.

Duffy's television career began in the 1990s when he appeared on the reality TV shows "The Real World: Boston" and "Road Rules: All Stars," where he met his wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy.

He began serving as district attorney in Ashland County, Wis., in 2002 before running for Congress. He was elected to Congress for the first time in 2010 as part of the Tea Party wave that won the Republican majority. He served five terms before retiring in 2019 to spend more time with family.
