Financial stocks leaned lower premarket Tuesday with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) recently declining marginally.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was down 0.4% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.6% higher.

PayPal Holdings (PYPL) shares fell past 8% even after the company reported higher Q4 non-GAAP earnings and net revenue.

KKR (KKR) shares declined by nearly 3% after the company reported a decline in Q4 revenue.

Apollo Global Management (APO) shares were down nearly 3% after the company reported a lower Q4 revenue.
