Bunge Global posted a slight decline in fourth-quarter sales from a year earlier.
The agricultural supply and transportation company logged net income of $602 million, or $4.36 a share, compared to $616 million, or $4.18 a share, a year earlier.
Stripping out certain one-time items, earnings were $2.13 a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.24 a share.
Sales edged down to $13.54 billion from $14.94 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $13.60 billion.
Bunge noted that lower processing results in its agribusiness were partially offset by higher merchandising.
Chief Executive Greg Heckman said Bunge didn't end the year as it expected and that its forward visibility is limited by increased geopolitical uncertainty.
