CMS Energy's board has raised the utility holding company's quarterly dividend by 5.3%, to 54.25 cents from 51.5 cents.
The new payout, equal to $2.17 a year, represents an annual yield of about 3.23% based on Wednesday's closing price of $67.12, up from 3.07%.
The Jackson, Mich., company on Thursday said the increased dividend is payable Feb. 28 to shareholders of record Feb. 17.
