REA Group's (ASX:REA) Chief Executive Owen Wilson has informed its board of his intention to retire, the company said in a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The board has started a process to select a new CEO, evaluating both internal and external candidates, while Wilson, who has been with the CEO for six years, will remain with the business to ensure a smooth transition, added the filing.
