Newmont Corporation (ASX:NEM) Chief Operating Officer Natascha Viljoen and Chief Development Officer Peter Toth sold some of their shares in the company, according to two separate filings on Thursday with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Viljoen sold 9,000 shares for $42.89 apiece, bringing his remaining shares in the mineral producer to 136,967.

Meanwhile, Toth sold 3,000 shares at the same price, bringing his remaining shares to 79,596.

Company shares were up 2% in recent trade.
