TransUnion (TRU) and AT&T (T) said Thursday they have partnered to allow businesses to display the reasons for calls to AT&T wireless customers using most Android devices.
Financial terms were not provided.
The service does not require an app and uses Stir/Shaken authentication to verify calls, according to the joint statement.
The reason for the call appears when the phone rings and in the call details after a missed call, the companies said, adding that the feature expands on a 2024 update that added business names and logos to call screens.
AT&T wireless users do not need to take any action to receive these branded calls, according to the companies.
