One thing we could say about the analysts on Mobileye Global Inc. (NASDAQ:MBLY) - they aren't optimistic, having just made a major negative revision to their near-term (statutory) forecasts for the organization. There was a fairly draconian cut to their revenue estimates, perhaps an implicit admission that previous forecasts were much too optimistic.
Following the downgrade, the most recent consensus for Mobileye Global from its 25 analysts is for revenues of US$1.8b in 2025 which, if met, would be a credible 6.5% increase on its sales over the past 12 months. Prior to the latest estimates, the analysts were forecasting revenues of US$2.0b in 2025. The consensus view seems to have become more pessimistic on Mobileye Global, noting the substantial drop in revenue estimates in this update.

We'd point out that there was no major changes to their price target of US$19.97, suggesting the latest estimates were not enough to shift their view on the value of the business.
These estimates are interesting, but it can be useful to paint some more broad strokes when seeing how forecasts compare, both to the Mobileye Global's past performance and to peers in the same industry. It's pretty clear that there is an expectation that Mobileye Global's revenue growth will slow down substantially, with revenues to the end of 2025 expected to display 6.5% growth on an annualised basis. This is compared to a historical growth rate of 13% over the past five years. Compare this against other companies (with analyst forecasts) in the industry, which are in aggregate expected to see revenue growth of 8.7% annually. So it's pretty clear that, while revenue growth is expected to slow down, the wider industry is also expected to grow faster than Mobileye Global.
The clear low-light was that analysts slashing their revenue forecasts for Mobileye Global this year. They're also anticipating slower revenue growth than the wider market. Overall, given the drastic downgrade to this year's forecasts, we'd be feeling a little more wary of Mobileye Global going forwards.
