Yum China Reports 18% Higher Q4 2024 Net Income; Shares Up 6%

Yum China Holdings (HKG:9987) reported a net income of $115 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2024, an 18% increase from the $97 million in the previous year, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

Earnings per share were $0.30, compared with $0.27 a year ago. Analysts from Visible Alpha expected an EPS of $0.30 for the fourth quarter.

The total revenue for the quarter reached $2.60 billion, a 4% increase from the $2.49 billion in the prior year. The company beat Visible Alpha's estimate of $2.57 billion in total revenue.

Yum China declared a cash dividend of $0.24 per share for the quarter ended Dec. 31. The dividend will likely be paid out on March 27 to shareholders as of the record date of March 6.

The restaurant company's shares increased nearly 6% in early morning trade Friday.
