On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had a loss of 71 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, came to 72 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 12 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 57 cents per share.
The publisher of "Grand Theft Auto" and other video games posted revenue of $1.36 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $1.37 billion, which missed Street forecasts. Eleven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.38 billion.
Take-Two expects full-year revenue in the range of $5.55 billion to $5.65 billion.
