JD.com (JD) revived its interest in buying German electronics retailer Ceconomy, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter
JD.com (JD) recently contacted Ceconomy regarding a possible deal and has begun engaging with the company's major shareholders, the report said.
JD.com had expressed interest in Ceconomy in late 2023, and current talks are ongoing with no certainty of a transaction, the report said.
A spokesperson for Ceconomy declined to comment, and JD.com's representative didn't immediately respond a request for comment, Bloomberg said.
