Alice Queen (ASX:AQX) said it completed two diamond drill holes under its maiden drill program at its Viani gold project in Fiji, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The three-hole diamond drilling program is designed to test for high-grade gold- style mineralization, previously intersected at the project by historic drilling, as well as to test extensions to the quartz vein gold mineralization at depth.
Samples from the first drill hole have been dispatched for processing. All results from the program are expected to come in during the March quarter.
Drilling at the third target is expected to begin "imminently," the filing added.
