Wabtec posted slightly lower profit in its latest quarter despite an increase in revenue.
The transport-technology company logged net income attributable to common shareholders of $212 million, or $1.23 a share, compared to $215 million, or $1.20 a share, a year earlier.
Stripping out certain one-time items, earnings were $1.68 a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.73 a share.
Sales edged up to $2.58 billion from $2.53 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.62 billion.
Wabtec attributed the top-line growth to increased sales in its transit segment.
The company forecast sales between $10.73 billion and $11.03 billion as well as adjusted earnings per-share between $8.35 and $8.75 in 2025. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $11.03 billion as well as $8.62 a share in adjusted earnings.
