Uber and online delivery platforms have blasted NSW Labor’s push to introduce broader gig worker laws than the Albanese government as a reckless waste of taxpayers’ money that will create a legal minefield for ride-share services.
Uber, Doordash, Menulog and DiDi on Monday urged the Minns government to abandon its proposed legislation for gig workers’ minimum pay and conditions, expected to go to parliament next month, and warned it would result in NSW consumers missing out on services.
