Rockwell Automation (ROK) is partnering with NEO Battery Materials to automate and scale production at NEO's planned silicon anode manufacturing facility in Windsor, Ontario, the Canadian maker of battery materials said Tuesday.
NEO said it expects to use Rockwell's automation technology to streamline its manufacturing capabilities, optimize use of raw materials, and support a cost-effective production process in anticipation of large-scale, commercial operations.
Financial details and other terms were not disclosed.
NEO also said Rockwell will be engaged to assist with additional facilities, including a proposed manufacturing plant in Ohio.
