3M Company CEO William Brown Adds Board Chairman Role

3M Company (MMM) said Monday that Chief Executive William Brown has been named to serve as board chairman, effective March 1, in addition to his current responsibilities.

Executive Chairman Michael Roman plans to step down effective March 1, and has agreed to serve as executive advisor to the board until his retirement on May 1, the company said.

3M also said that David Bozeman, chief executive of C.H. Robinson Worldwide (CHRW), has been elected to the board, effective Feb. 6.
