Structural Monitoring Systems (ASX:SMN) said unit Anodyne Electronics Manufacturing (AEM) received approval for the use of its MTP136D radio in all federally regulated aerial firefighting agency and contractor aircraft across the United States, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
This approval from the US Forest Service and Department of the Interior opens access to a market of over 3,000 aircraft, enabling Anodyne Electronics to expand its presence in the US firefighting sector, the filing said.
Shares of the company rose 2% at market close.
