JSW Steel (NSE:JSWSTEEL, BOM:500228) recorded a 7% year-on-year rise in its consolidated crude steel production to 2.5 million tonnes in January, according to a Monday filing with the Indian stock exchanges.
The company's Indian operation's crude steel production was also up 7% year-on-year at 2.5 million tonnes.
The capacity utilization for January at Indian operations excluding under trial run was at 90%.
Shares of the company were down over 2% in recent trade.
