Sydney University vice chancellor Mark Scott says he failed to meaningfully engage with Jewish and Palestinian staff and students in the aftermath of the October 7 terror attacks in Israel and this lack of curiosity made their trauma worse.
Reflecting on the lessons he had learned from the campus ‘antisemitism’ crisis that engulfed Sydney and other institutions last year, Professor Scott admitted he and the university fell short in their response.
