Merchant House International (ASX:MHI) sold all the equipment at the now-closed American Merchant textile factory for roughly AU$6.5 million, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

United Textile Machinery and Gibbs International bought the assets, which had a book carrying value of nearly AU$15.5 million. The transaction resulted in a loss on sale of AU$9 million, the filing said.
