Tencent's (HKG:0700) cloud computing unit inaugurated its first Middle East Cloud Region in Saudi Arabia, according to a Sunday press statement.

The establishment of the cloud region will enable Saudi Arabia to enter Tencent Cloud's system spanning 50 availability zones in 21 regions, according to the internet giant.

Among the services Tencent Cloud will offer in the country include analytics, artificial intelligence, digital media capability, and superapp technologies, among others, Tencent said.

Shares fell 1% during Tuesday's morning trading.
