BWX Technologies (BWXT) said Wednesday that it was awarded $2.1 billion in US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program contracts to manufacture reactor components.

The company said the manufacturing and procurement of naval nuclear reactor components for Columbia and Virginia class submarines, as well as Ford class aircraft carriers, will be performed over a seven-year period that began last year.

Shares of BWX Technologies were up 2.6% in recent premarket activity Wednesday.
