West Cobar Metals (ASX:WC1) said an initial sighter leach test recovered 75% of the antimony from the float concentrate at its Bulla Park copper-antimony project in New South Wales, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
Initial float tests reduced the concentrate mass to less than 3%, with recoveries of up to 94% copper, 90% antimony, and 88% silver and with up to 19.4% grade of copper, 7.5% grade of antimony, and 271 grams-per-tonne grade of silver.
The mining firm is now focusing on conducting follow-on tests designed to optimize the leach results and improve the antimony extraction.
The firm's shares rose 12% in recent trading on Wednesday.
