0913 GMT - NN Group's results show the reinsurer's capital position remains strong, KBW analyst Michele Ballatore says in a research note. NN group reported a solvency II ratio---a key measure of capital strength--of 194%, 9% ahead of what analysts had forecast, Ballatore says. While markets took their toll as expected, NN Group's management actions positively offset those effects, which is reflected in the 300 million-euro share buyback confirmed for next year, the analyst notes. The operating capital generation for the second half was 3% ahead of expectations, although consensus for the metric won't likely change after results, he says. "The operating capital generation disclosure by source shows a positive development at the investment return line and likely a higher than expected contribution from non-life," he says. Shares rise 6.6% to 48.61 euros. (maitane.sardon@wsj.com)
