Aerometrex (ASX:AMX) named Robert Veitch acting chief executive, effective immediately, following the resignation of Steve Masters to pursue other opportunities, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Veitch held positions as senior executive of the company and general manager of MetroMap, the filing said.

Shares rose nearly 4% in afternoon trade Tuesday.
