Freightways Group (NZE:FRW, ASX:FRW) reported Monday that its earnings per diluted share in the fiscal first half rose to NZ$0.25 from NZ$0.23 per diluted share a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha expected NZ$0.247 per diluted share.
Operating revenue for the six months to Dec. 31, 2024, was NZ$662.1 million, up 7% from NZ$620.7 million a year ago.
Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expected revenue of NZ$651.1 million.
Looking ahead, the company expects that "it will be a slow grind for the economy to provide some organic growth in New Zealand in H2." Medical Waste revenue is also likely to be delayed to the fourth quarter.
The board declared a dividend of NZ$0.22353 per share, up from NZ$0.21176 in the previous reported period, payable on April 1 to shareholders of record as of March 7.
