Malaysian Shares Start Week in Red; Top Glove's Shares Drop 3%

Malaysian shares extended losses of the previous session to start the week in the red, as the country's stock market remained under pressure throughout Monday.

The benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI, the main gauge of Malaysian stocks, shed 8.84 points to end 0.56% lower at 1,582.76. The day range was between 1,580.94 and 1,592.48.

In corporate news, shares of Top Glove (KLSE:TOPGLOV, SGX:BVA) dropped about 3% after it completed the bonus issue of warrants after the listing and quotation of 400,883,626 warrants on the Main Market of Bursa Securities.

Minox International Group (KLSE:MINOX) closed 2% lower after it completed a bonus issue of warrants after the listing of and quotation for 179.9 million warrants on the ACE Market of Bursa Securities.

Shares of Rohas Tecnic (KLSE:ROHAS) also slid about 2% after its unit Rohas-Euco Industries signed a joint venture deal with One Ocean Environment, dubbed, REI OOE Consortium. The JV firm will be engaged in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of water treatment facilities and wastewater projects.
