COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation (HKG:1138, SHA:600026) has entered into agreements with its two subsidiaries for the construction of six oil tankers for a total of 3.39 billion yuan, a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
Of this, COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Dalian) will construct and sell two Panamax Methanol Fuel (Ready) crude oil/product oil tankers with a guaranteed deadweight of 74,000 DWT at structural draught each to the company.
COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) will build two Aframax Methanol Dual Fuel crude oil tankers and two LR2 Methanol Dual Fuel crude oil/product oil tankers with a guaranteed deadweight of 114,200 DWT and 109,900 DWT at structural draught each, respectively.
The oil tankers are all expected to be delivered between September 2027 and September 2028, according to the Chinese shipping company.
