Kakuyasu Group (TYO:7686) will restructure its business to shift to a logistics-driven platform from liquor-focused sales, aiming for long-term growth, according to a Thursday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The company will assign its subsidiaries new roles. Kakuyasu will sell liquor, Meiwa Bussan will handle non-liquor products, and Daiwa Express Co. will manage logistics, including third-party delivery services.
The group plans mergers and acquisitions to expand its product lineup. The restructuring will incur one-off costs.
