President Trump's media company and video-sharing platform Rumble filed an emergency motion in federal court to halt the suspension of Rumble in Brazil by a Brazilian judge.

The companies' motion comes days after they sued Brazilian Justice Alexandre de Moraes over a gag order they said violated U.S. sovereignty and its free-speech protections. The person at the heart of the matter is Allan dos Santos, a former priest and outspoken conservative journalist who is under investigation by Brazil's Supreme Court, The Wall Street Journal has reported.

Trump Media & Technology Group, parent company of the Truth Social platform, and Rumble said de Moraes ordered Rumble be suspended in Brazil after the two companies refused to comply and filed their own lawsuit.

"Trump Media fully supports our partner Rumble in this crucial battle for free expression," said Chairman Devin Nunes.

The emergency motion was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
