Chorus Swings to Fiscal H1 Loss as Revenue Falls; Reaffirms Fiscal 2025 EBITDA, Capex Outlook

Chorus (ASX:CNU),(NZE:CNU) reported Monday a loss per diluted share of NZ$0.02 in the fiscal first half, compared with earnings of NZ$0.01 per diluted share a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet were expecting earnings of NZ$0.03 per share.

Operating revenue for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2024, was NZ$500 million, down from NZ$503 in the same period a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected NZ$511.

For fiscal 2025, CNU reaffirmed its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) guidance of NZ$700 million to NZ$720 million.

The company also maintained its gross capital expenditure forecast of NZ$400 million to NZ$440 million.

The board declared an unimputed interim dividend of NZ$0.23 per share, up 21% from the NZ$0.19 per share in the previously reported period, payable on April 15 to shareholders of record as of March 18.
