Trip.com Group (HKG:9961) reported a net income attributable to trip.com group of 2.16 billion yuan for the fourth quarter of 2024, compared with 1.3 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Earnings per share were 3.09 yuan, compared with 1.94 yuan in the year-ago quarter. Twenty analysts at Visual Alpha expected the EPS to reach 4.08 yuan.
Revenue for the quarter jumped 23% to 12.77 billion yuan from 10.34 billion yuan a year prior. Visual Alpha estimated revenue of 12.31 billion yuan.
For the full year, Trip.com reported 2.34 billion yuan in attributable profit, significantly down from 17.07 billion yuan in 2023.
EPS for 2024 was 3.39 yuan, versus 24.78 yuan in the year-ago period.
Full-year revenue rose 20% to 53.3 billion yuan from 53.38 billion yuan in the prior year.
The company announced a dividend of $0.30 per American depositary share, payable on or around March 27.
The travel platform's shares were down 8% in recent trading in Hong Kong.
