Mercury NZ (NZE: MCY, ASX:MCY) reported Tuesday a fiscal first-half loss per diluted share of NZ$0.048, compared with earnings of NZ$0.125 per diluted share a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting an EPS of NZ$0.08.
Revenue for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2024, was NZ$1.76 billion, up from AU$1.61 billion in the same period a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expected NZ$1.71 billion.
The electricity generation firm said its fiscal 2025 earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization, and fair value adjustments guidance remains unchanged at NZ$820 million.
The board declared an interim dividend of AU$0.113 per share, up from the AU$0.109 in the previous reported period, payable on April 1 to shareholders on record as of March 6.
The company's shares were down past 2% in recent Tuesday trade in New Zealand.
