J.M. Smucker (SJM) reported fiscal Q3 adjusted earnings Thursday of $2.61 per diluted share, up from $2.48 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.37.
Net sales for the quarter ended Jan. 31 were $2.19 billion, compared with $2.23 billion a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.22 billion.
The company said it now expects fiscal 2025 adjusted EPS of $9.85 to $10.15, up from the previous range of $9.70 to $10.10. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $9.89. Net sales are now projected to grow by about 7.3% from the previous range of 7.5% to 8.5%. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $8.83 billion.
