AT&T (T) and TPG (TPG)-owned DirecTV said Thursday it launched three new streaming packages and two add-ons, expanding its lineup of lower-cost, genre-specific plans.
The video programming distributor said MyEntertainment, MyNews, and MiEspanol packages start at $34.99 per month and include access to more than 100 channels through MyFree DirecTV.
MyEntertainment, priced at $34.99 per month, includes over 40 channels plus ad-supported versions of Walt Disney's (DIS) Disney+ and Hulu, with Warner Bros. Discovery's (WBD) Max to be added later. MyNews offers more than 10 national news channels and select local ones for $39.99 per month. MiEspanol, also priced at $34.99 per month, provides over 60 Spanish-language channels, with ViX Premium to be added later.
DirecTV launched MyCinema and MySports Extra add-ons. MyCinema, at $9.99 per month, includes classic films and family programming, while MySports Extra, at $12.99 per month, adds channels such as NFL RedZone and MotorTrend.
DirecTV also said it plans to launch a MyHomeTeam regional sports package before Major League Baseball's opening day on March 27.
