1037 GMT - The Canadian dollar falls to a two-week low against the U.S. dollar as markets are starting to price in more risks of U.S. tariffs, Monex Europe says in a note. President Trump on Monday said he would press ahead with tariffs against Canada and Mexico as scheduled following a one-month delay until March 4. The Canadian dollar still has plenty of scope to fall, the analysts say. "After all, [USD/CAD] reached 1.48 during the last round of tariff worries in early February." A similar move is a very credible prospect unless a further tariff suspension is agreed and there are few signs of progress on that front. USD/CAD rises to a high of 1.4345, according to FactSet.
