The consumer staples sector fell 1.95% at midday Friday as the majority of sectors of the Australian bourse traded in the red.
Stocks fell on Wall Street after US President Donald Trump said Tariffs would be imposed on Canada and Mexico on March 4, along with a further 10% tariff on Chinese goods.
The Australian share market fell on concerns that the tariffs on China could hit demand for Australian commodities.
Endeavour Group (ASX:EDV) reported Friday that its earnings per diluted share in the fiscal first half fell to AU$0.167 from AU$0.196 a year earlier. The board declared an interim dividend of AU$0.125 per share, down from AU$0.143 a year earlier, payable on April 10 to shareholders on record as of March 10.
