AerCap Holdings' board has raised the aviation leasing company's quarterly dividend by 8%, to 27 cents a share from 25 cents, and approved a new $1 billion share-repurchase program.
The new quarterly payout, equal to $1.08 a year, represents an annual yield of about 1.06% based on Tuesday's closing price of $101.50, up from 0.99%.
The Dublin-based company on Wednesday said the increased dividend is payable April 3 to shareholders of record March 12.
AerCap, which sports a market capitalization topping $20.5 billion, said it returned more than $1.6 billion to shareholders last year through dividends and the repurchase of 16.8 million shares.
