Hormel Foods (HRL) reported fiscal Q1 adjusted earnings Thursday of $0.35 per diluted share, down from $0.41 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.38.
Net sales for the fiscal quarter ended Jan. 26 was $2.99 billion, down from $3.00 billion a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $2.95 billion.
The meat producer reaffirmed its fiscal 2025 adjusted diluted EPS guidance of $1.58 to $1.72. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $1.65.
The company also reaffirmed its net sales outlook for the year of $11.9 billion to $12.2 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $12.08 billion.
Shares were up more than 1% in premarket activity.
