Greif (GEF) late Wednesday reported fiscal Q1 non-GAAP net income of $0.39 per diluted share, down from $1.27 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet, on average, expected $0.73.
Revenue for the quarter ended Jan. 31 was $1.27 billion, compared with $1.21 billion a year earlier.
Analysts expected $1.26 billion.
Shares of the packaging company were falling more than 4% in after-hours session.
