Coles Group (ASX:COL) Chairman James Graham will retire from the board, effective April 30, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The board appointed Peter Allen as chairman-elect to succeed Graham on May 1, per the filing. Allen has been an independent non-executive director of Coles since Sept. 1, 2024.

The company's shares were up almost 4% in recent Thursday trade, earlier hitting an all-time high.
