1605 ET - U.S. stocks indexes rise in a choppy day of trading as investors digest the latest earnings and economic data along with fallout from a testy White House meeting between President Trump and Ukraine's Zelensky. Also hanging over markets are looming trade tariffs set to go into place early next week. Treasury yields fall for the second consecutive month. The dollar extends gains, while oil and gold prices slip. DJIA gains 601 points, or 1.4%, to 43840, the S&P 500 rises 1.6% to 5954 and the Nasdaq gains 1.6% to 18847.
