WMG (KLSE:WMG) unit Wah Mie Realty has been served with a 1.4 million ringgit payment claim by Pemborong Asas, according to a Monday Malaysian bourse filing.

Pemborong Asas is the main contractor for a 480-unit condominium project in Sandakan, Sabah. The dispute arose on the release of the balance retention sum following the project's completion and certification.

The company does not expect the claim to significantly impact its financials.

WMG added that it has sought legal advice and will appoint a solicitor to handle the matter.
