Tesla's (TSLA) sales in Scandinavian countries have plunged in February from last year amid chief executive officer Elon Musk's foray into politics, Reuters reported Monday, citing registration data.
Vehicle registrations of Tesla fell 42% in Sweden and 48% in both Norway and Denmark despite increasing overall demand for automobiles in the region, including for electric vehicles, according to the report.
The automaker's sales in Norway declined to 8.8% year-to-date from 18.9% for the full-year 2024 and 20% in 2023, the Reuters reported.
Tesla did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
